Reflexology is a simple, safe and effective form of non invasive holistic healing.

While it is advisable to see a professional reflexology practitioner for regular treatments, it is possible to assist your healing process by working on yourself.
All the organs, glands and limbs of the body are represented with reflexes on the feet, hands and ears. These self help tips can be used in between treatments and include working points located on either the feet, hands or ears, depending upon which is easiest to remember.
- Back Pain – Help with Foot Reflexology
The spine reflex is located along the inside of the foot running along the boney edge. The upper back starts at the base of big toe and the lower back is located down by the heel.
Treatment
Apply firm pressure with either your thumb or fingers along the inside boney ridge of the foot, paying particular attention to those areas that are sore. Maintain pressure for 30 seconds on any sore areas.
- Neck pain – Help with Foot and Ear Reflexology / Auriculotherapy
The neck reflex is located along the base of the big toe. It is also located where the ear lobe joins the grisly part of the ear.
Treatment
Apply firm pressure all along the base of the big toe, and press the ear where the lobe joins the grisly part. Repeat regularly.
- Shoulder pain – Help with Foot Reflexology
The Shoulder reflex is located underneath the little toe.
Treatment
Massage all around the base of the little toe, top, side and sole area. Repeat regularly.
- Cough, Colds, and Sinus – Help with Hand Reflexology
The reflexes are located on the fingers and thumbs.
Treatment
Pinch all aspects (sides) of each finger and thumb in turn, maintaining pressure on any areas that are sore.
- Constipation or IBS – Help with Foot and Hand Reflexology
The intestine reflex is located on the sole of the foot running across the foot from approximately half way down to the heel.
Treatment
Massage the sole of the foot with fingers, thumbs or knuckles using firm pressure. In addition pinch hard on the *fleshy pad of the hand in between the index finger and thumb.

- Under Active Thyroid – Help with Hand Reflexology
The Thyroid reflex is located at the base of the thumb.
Treatment
Apply firm pressure all along the base of the thumb. Repeat regularly. In addition hold the big toe with your finger and thumb and pinch the centre of the toe.
- Period Pain – Help with Hand Reflexology
The reproductive reflexes are located along the wrist.
Treatment
Grasp your wrist with your thumb and finger and twist the wrist from side to side. In addition Press and rotate in the small dip located on the wrist directly underneath the thumb.
- Insomnia – Help with Ear Reflexology / Auriculotherapy
The head reflex is located on the ear lobe.
Treatment
Gently massage the ear lobe pulling down on it slightly.
